Nico Nico Douga (ニコニコ動画, "Smiley Video") is a Japanese social media website that involves posting and sharing videos. It is also known as NCNC for a short term. The service generic name was changed to "niconico" from May 1, 2012, but use of Nico Nico Douga can still be seen on the website.
Role in Gachimuchi Pants Wrestling
This website is the origin of Gachimuchi Pants Wrestling. Tags such as Wrestling Series (レスリングシリーズ), Philosophy (哲学 Tetsugaku), and Forest Fairy (森の妖精 Mori no Yousei) were used for such videos; until recent development of the subculture.
Nico Nico Douga also hosted its own conventions for fans, which Billy Herrington had visited with great applause.
In Gachimuchi videos, the Nico Nico Douga's headquarters building is often the target of explosions, reflecting their creators' disappointment with the website's deletion of their videos.
