Names
"Kon-ya ga" comes from Thomas Papillon resembling Kon-ya ga Yamada (今夜が山田 or 今夜がやまだ~ - literally "Tonight Is Yamada!"), a character played by multilingual Iranian actor David Hossein from the Japanese variety show Downtown no Gaki no Tsukai ya Arahende!! (ダウンタウンのガキの使いやあらへんで!! Dauntaun no Gaki no Tsukai ya Arahende!!? lit. "Downtown's This Is No Task for Kids!"), often abbreviated Gaki no Tsukai (ガキの使い?) or just Gaki Tsuka (ガキ使?).
