G-On♂

G-On♂ (げいおん♂, Geion♂) is a four-panel manga by Kanifly.

Overview[edit | edit source]

An authentic school comedy centred around the four members (5 students from the 2nd year plus 1 student) who join the s̶l̶o̶p̶p̶y̶ Gay Music Club on the verge of disbanding.

It started as a bimonthly series when it was serialised in the May 2007 issue of "Mazoga Time Marara", and in the October 2008 issue of "Mazoga Time Marara Marat". There's already 3 volumes that have been published.

Billy Hirasawa (平沢ビリー) (VA: Billy Herrington)[edit | edit source]

In charge of ass guitar. A second year student in Class 2.

He joined the club thinking that gay music was "erotic and simple music".

He surrounds himself with horrible natural pretensions. Homosexuals.

He named his ass guitar Gayta.

Bio Akiyama (秋山ビオ) (VA: Mark Wolff)[edit | edit source]

On the cover of Volume 2.

In charge of bass. A second year student in Class 1. The only left-handed character.

He intended to join the gay literature club, but his childhood friend, Licker, pulled him in to join.

He's shy, scared, and hates painful stories. And he's strong. He can't say no if someone asks him for something.

Licker Tainaka (田井中リッカー) (VA: Peter Wilder)[edit | edit source]

On the cover of Volume 3.

In charge of ass drums. A second year student in Class 2. Head of the Gay Music Club. Nickname: Zenrichan.

He wanted to form a band with Bio, so he pulled Bio into it to rebuild the Gay Music Club and joined it.

He's always full of energy. He plays to the hilt when he plays, licks when he licks, and practices diligently when he practices.

Tadano Kotobuki (琴吹TDN) (VA: Van Darkholme)[edit | edit source]

In charge of the keyboard and fercussion. Second year student in Class 2.

He was going to join the wrestling club, but when he saw Licker and Bio, he joined the Gay Music Club because "There's no distortion".

The source of the after-school wrestling time that occupies the Gay Music Club. Quite a prince. His nickname is "Muki".

He doesn't hesitate in skinning other people's naughty♂sons and rather enjoys it.

Kazuya Nakano (中野カズヤ) (VA: Danny Lee)[edit | edit source]

In charge of ass guitar. One grade below Billy and the others. Nickname: Kazunyan.

Billy's undistorted performance attracted him to join the club. As shown in the line "I want to be strong", he is eager to practice. He's also a good dancer.

TV AniMe[edit | edit source]

In the January 2009 issue of "Mazoga Time Marara", it was announced that it would be made into a TV AniMe. It was produced by Kyoto Animation.

According to the official website, it's scheduled to begin broadcasting from April 2009 on the Shin Nippori Television Network.

In addition, a web radio named 'Rajion♂' featuring the voice actors started to be distributed on the official AniMe web site. The first episode was launched on February 9, 2009, and as of April 3, 2009, the fifth instalment is currently being distributed.

The second season of the show, Geion♂♂, has been airing since spring 2010.
